You intervene to relieve the extreme, even crippling pain that some patients experience. You save teeth. You re-instill lost confidence. You return smiles that have been lost to damage, decay, and disease. You wear a mask and scrubs, but in the eyes of your patients a superheroes cape may be more appropriate.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Review patients’ medical history, current medications, existing conditions, previous dental work, vital signs, and informed consent forms as needed
• Diagnose patients’ dental needs and create individualized treatment plans
• Work in collaboration with general dentists and other specialists as needed
• Educate patients (and their parents) on their diagnosis to ensure acceptance and confidence in their treatment
• Provide preventative, restorative, and surgical treatment while meeting the standard of care as defined by the American Association of Endodontists
• Provide treatments that address damage to the tooth pulp as well as the tissue and nerves within and surrounding the root of a tooth that have become damaged or infected
• Complete progress notes, ensuring that they are clear and comprehensive

Education, Experience, or Skill Sets:

• DDS or DMD from an accredited school
• Licensed to work in Hawaii (at time of start)
• 5 years of experience in Endodontics is preferred
• Completed post-doctoral residency program in area of specialty
